As Duncan Blackeby is the main man of a wonderful section. With a bit of me and Tom knight on the perifery, we have a god given right to be admired and regaled. As long as I can remember the basses generally are the part that the ladies admire. So to be extra fantastic under pressure i.e. sectional, solo's and/ or demonstration we must know our part intimately. Like, it needed escorting home after a dance.... like, it was the back of you hand.... like, you're favorite pair of jeans.... we need to know our dots and words perfectly. 3 things I need from you basses. Energy, drive and discipline. we will lead the nybc in to the future with our way of performing. ... the basses have their own chant. Energy, drive, Discipline.
