Rehearsal on the 9th

Good job guys on yesterday! I was watching that music when it was coming up to the tricky bits in South Rampart Street fully expecting people to get them wrong but you just sailed through, way to prove me wrong! Keep up the good work and make sure you take a look at the music again before convention to make sure you remember everything you've learned. In the next rehearsal I want to really work on the presentation side of things, if Rob or I say we want more from the chorus, it means YOU as an individual have to do more. Don't worry, I'll tell you if you're doing too much. Cracking job though, keep up the good work for convention and how about this gig in London? How good is that! I hope to be there myself but if I'm not I'm sure you'll all do the Youth Chorus proud!

Rehearsal on the 9th

Yesterday was a blast! Thanks Duncan for your help! Those section practices really helped me personally nail some of those tricky notes in South Rampart, they pass by so quickly when singing at home I sometimes don't notice them. Excellent rehearsal. Nuff said! Andy

Rehearsal on the 9th

Just to echo some of the words already said by others. The bass section, now being the biggest section within the Youth Chorus at times were sounding quite awesome. Things that you can do to help that sound become even more superior are: Sing EVERYDAY - not neccesarily the YC songs but sing using that rich, round BIG tone that Rob has been extracting from you for the last few rehearsals. Sing with great unity and consistance - we want the sound of the YC BASSES on that Friday night to just Amaze the whole audience as to how Clean, rich, resonant and freely produced it is. Follow Rob and you won't go far wrong............watch his every move and everything he asks of YOU throughout a song. Well done guys........somewhere in Britain there is a BEST BASS section.......Is that you??????? Hell Yes...................come on!!!!!!!!!!!
